'Stan' (2006), a made-for-TV drama based on Neil Brand's acclaimed radio play, imagines the final moments in the relationship between Laurel and Hardy. Jim Norton stars as the depressive Stan Laurel, who somewhat reluctantly goes to visit his friend and long-time collaborator, Oliver Hardy (Mike Goodenough), on his death bed in 1957 following a stroke some months earlier. The story tracks the lives and work of Stan and Ollie in a series of flashbacks, and portrays the conversation between the two men as they bid their final farewells after a lifetime of sharing the world's spotlight. Documentary 'Laurel and Hardy: Anthology' (1990) profiles the career of Laurel and Hardy from their early silent days to their last film, 'Utopia' (1950). Their work with producer Hal Roach is also profiled, with clips from every period of the team's film career.
