When another accident of sorts sees Peggy sing on a record that ends up being played on BBC radio, she is even more surprised to find that the whole country loves her voice and that she is offered her own radio show. Things aren't all rosy for Peggy, though. She is in love with a Scottish soldier, Bruce McIntosh (Donald Gray), but he only has eyes for her best friend, Ruth (Patricia Roc). Success may have found Peggy, but will she find happiness?
