Item description
Dan Stevens and Christopher Plummer star in this drama directed by Bharat Nalluri. Adapted from Les Standiford's novel of the same name, the film follows Charles Dickens (Stevens) as he attempts to get his career back on track with the release of his new book 'A Christmas Carol' in 1843. Having been rejected by his publishers following the failure of his previous work, Dickens sets about writing his new festive story in a hectic six-week period, combining real-life experiences with his vivid imagination to create a Christmas tale which could stand the test of time and become a family favourite for years to come. The cast also includes Jonathan Pryce, Miriam Margolyes and Donald Sumpter.
