'March of the Wooden Soldiers', a Christmas-time comic operetta, sees the bumbling Stan and Ollie on a mission to save the citizens of Toyland from the evil Silas Barnaby and his horrible Bogeymen. In 'The Flying Deuces', the boys join the foreign legion so that heartbroken Ollie can forget the love of his life. A series of comical complications end with the boys taking off in a runaway plane they don't know how to fly. 'Utopia', Laurel and Hardy's final film, sees the boys setting up their own nation after being shipwrecked on a newly-formed island along with their cook, a stowaway and a girl who is fleeing her fiance.
