This is an original, vintage 45 rpm phonograph record by The Fading Tribesmen, entitled, "These Lips Of Mine". Flipside: "How's Your Love Life". Record label: Indian Records 1000. ***Note: This is not the Pink Poodle label reproduction. It is vintage and original. It has never surfaced for sale and could be the only one in existence, but uncertain.
* Known for the incredibly scarce and valuable "More Feathers" on the Indian Records label, this 45 even precedes it. It has never surfaced on the Indian label and nothing appears in print about it. *However:
Research on this 45 took me to the song titles being from a band named, Chief Big And The Scalp Hunters on the Turquoise label. The song is definitely Country/Western. This Indian label 45 has the same titles as the Turqoise label 45 but sounds like a different band. The photo of the Turquoise 45 is online and copyrighted, so I can't legally show the comparison of the two. The Turquoise label and Indian label are both Cherokee Cody/Jimmie Addington records. The Bakersfield address is also the same.
I don't know the story as to why there are two different labels for the same 45, but it doesn't sound like the same band who recorded these two songs on the Turquoise label or the very rare "More Feathers" on the Indian label. Again, this is very Country/Western sounding. I can only speculate.
Record is visually graded near mint and appears unplayed. Record plays near mint, having some slight background noise static but not distracting. There is no skipping.
