Item description
This is for a phenomenal Nino Pippa titled "Santa Maria della Salute" signed lower left. This shows the Venetian Bay near the Grand Canal looking at La Salute, the famous Roman Catholic church and basilica in Venice. This one of the most photographed areas in the world.

Santa Maria della Salute (English: Saint Mary of Health), commonly known simply as La Salute, is a Roman Catholic church and basilica located at Punta della Dogana in the Dorsoduro sestiere of Venice.
La Salute stands on the narrow finger of Punta della Dogana, between the Grand Canal and the Giudecca Canal, at the Bacino di San Marco, making the church visible when entering the Piazza San Marco from the water.
The dome was a significant addition to the Venice skyline and soon became emblematic of the city.
Yearly tradition:
On November 21st of each year during the Feast of the Presentation of the Virgin the city's officials parade from San Marco to the Salute for a service in gratitude for deliverance from the plague of 1600's.
