'Separationalism: Cornered' (Set of 9) by Carla Dancey. Each of these nine paintings has multi-colored triangles which are separated by metallic gold lines. During the height of the pandemic, I began to separate everything from everything in my artworks. I felt isolated, separated and cornered and my psychological state of mind was reflected in my paintings. Each triangle has some whitewashing, similar to how the science and the truth and the lies all seemed to be blurred at a time when we needed to be able to separate the truth from the lies more than ever.
