Item description
Out Of Print (OOP) in all formats and no longer being produced. Pre-viewed for quality and I had to tweak the tracking up on my Fisher vcr for a little fuzz or static on the bottom edge of frame. Comes back for a few minutes at 26 minutes in and again at 36 minutes. Probably due to the EP mode speed. Make sure your vcr supports this tape speed.
Cassette is nice and clean and the box is in good shape too with the bottom end flap still intact as well as good color overall.
This is a bizarre combination of Mary Shelley's 'Frankenstein' and Edgar Allen Poe's 'Fall of the House of Usher' and has the look of a Hammer studios costume drama of the period.
Mark Burns is the would-be Frankenstein who, having seperated from their dead bodies and kept alive the souls of a variety of animals, sets about experimenting on his family in the middle of the South African veldt in the first half of the 19th century.
Shirley Anne Field is the fluttering heroine and fiancee' of his brother (killed earlier by Burns who now masquerades as him) and David Oxley is the middle-aged doctor and man of rational science who finally comes to her rescue, literally riding a white horse, at the climax.
