The album presents a detailed historical sketch of the Moscow Imperial Society of Horse Racing Enthusiasts, which was created in 1834. In addition to materials on the history of the society, the book contains a number of interesting sections: tables of summer and winter prizes, statistical tables, and a list of society members. The compiler of the album is Dmitry Dmitrievich Sontsov, the owner of a large stud farm, the author of a number of books on the history of horse breeding in Russia, published in Moscow.
