Details This unique pottery process is made by hand molding a clay form into an urn style. Each urn is carefully spun on a potter?s wheel or molded into a specific shape, hand-glazed and then baked at a high temperature in a kiln. This baking process is to remove all the water from the clay and ?set? the clay to increase its strength. Each urn is individually hand-crafted to create a unique piece of art. During firing, these granules spread out and create specks of color. It has an ivory background coloring with small burgundy speckles.
