Item description
Presented is three Red Seal Notes of the 1917 Series framed in a burlwood frame measuring 23" tall by 17" wide by 1 1/2" thick.
The one dollar note features the portrait of George Washington in the center, scene of Columbus sighting land to the left and the large red seal to the right Serial # R70010726A.
The two dollar note has the portrait of President Jefferson to the left, Capitol in the center, and the red seal to the left serial # 15569688A.
The five dollar note has the portrait of President Jackson to the left and a Pioneer and his family in the center serial # H96071702.
The series is nicknamed the "Rainbow Notes" because of the multiple colors used in printing.
Black ink for the main design, red seal and serial numbers, green background for the serial number, and a blue tint left of the portrait.
