Item description
Brand new factory sealed vhs tape with a long-expired coupon offer on the cover. The blu-ray is Out Of Print (OOP) and the dvd is in limited supply. This pop-n-go retro video will start right up without those pesky menus.
This full screen version is perfect for old school televisions as the image will fill your square frame. The uncompressed audio is superior to its digital counterpart with a more robust sound that you might have to turn down a notch.
A group of aging, doomed outlaws attempt one final robbery on the Tex-Mex border in 1913, realizing time is passing them by. Robert Ryan is a bounty hunter after old friend William Holden, and Emilio Fernandez is the Mexican general who wants the stolen American weapons. "We've got to start thinking beyond our guns," Holden advises his men. But they're trapped in the ways that got them there. They'll go out in a blaze. Not of glory, but of the hellfire of bullets.
The great cast also includes Strother Martin, L.Q. Jones, Albert Dekker, Bo Hopkins, and Dub Taylor. Highly influential in dialogue, editing style, and lyrical slow-motion photography of violence pre-dating the 'Matrix' by decades. Beware of shortened versions, when the ten minutes of additional footage (flashbacks) was released in 1994, the MPAA ordered that the feature (originally an R) be rated NC-17, then backed off.
