Riverside Press Edition, dark blue oe leather w/gilt titling to spine, 8vo (7.750x4.875?), very good+/n.a., vol.1, 312pp.; vol.2, 438pp.; vol.3, 290pp.; vol.4, 298pp. Head and tail of spine with tiny wear as with the corners, previous owner?s signature on front free fly-leaf, else fine. These four volumes, though numbered sequentially from 1-4 on the spines, are actually part of a larger 13 volume set containing Lowell?s non-poetical writings - being numbers 8-11 of that larger set. That said, they stand quite nicely and completely alone being the works of a master poet on par with the great E.A. Poe. The beauty of the marbled paper on the boards and end-papers is exquisite, quite the beautiful and distinctive set of books indeed, and a marvelous Capture of Tyme!
