Lacinato Kale (Brassica oleracea), also known as Dinosaur Kale due to its appearance and texture, is an Italian heirloom that produces bluish to black savoyed leaves that grow to be 3" wide by 18" long. Best eaten though when leaves are 8-10" long. This variety's flavor is actually enhanced by a little bit of frost. High in antioxidants, Kale is great in salads, sandwiches and/or cooked
