Fantastic, career-spanning retrospective covers George's entire solo career in a fashion deserving of such a legend. Beginning with his magnum opus All Thigs Must Pass from 1970 and going all the way through George's final, posthumously released 2002 album Brainwashed, this 3-disc fan-made set hits all the right notes along the way in showing just what a musical genius George truly was, from his plaintively gorgeous elegy to love and hope, Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth) from 1973, to his commercial re-birth with 1987's Cloud Nine album, which is well-represented with seven songs, including the number one hit Got My Mind Set On You and George's wry look back on his life as a Beatle, When We Was Fab. Also included are several tracks from George's two albums with his "supergroup", the Traveling Wilburys, giving a true complete picture of the best George had to offer as a solo artist. As a bonus, the unfinished George 1980 demo of Charlie Dore's Fear Of Flying has been completed with very "George-like" instrumentation and added to this set. All the tracks have been lovingly matched with regards to volume level and overall sonic clarity, so this set will be an extremely pleasant listen.
