When it first started production in 1954, the idea was to make clubs that were geared towards the better player with clubs that had a lot of feel and great workability. Not only did Ben Hogan Golf succeed in that area, but they went even further and started making game improvement golf clubs as well. The company broke into the golf industry with the Apex line. The original Apex irons were one of the best iron sets in terms of soft feel and the ability to shape shots. The clean muscleback design with soft forged club heads is what makes these irons so sought after by players even today. While Ben Hogan Golf also came out with some excellent woods and hybrids. Perhaps the most innovative accomplishment that the Ben Hogan Golf company made, however, was partnering with Bettinardi Golf to create a line of Ben Hogan Bettinardi putters. These putters were of high quality and featured some of the best precision milling of any putters around. With both mallet and traditional blade designs, these putters inspired confidence with their soft feel and clean looks. Vintage BEN HOGAN APEX II 1981 WHITE CAMEO IRONS - COLLECTORS! The Apex II irons have a longish blade with the Hogan Cameo on the back near the toe area and the Ben Hogan signature on the muscleback.
