ed. blue cloth hardcover w/gilt titling to spine and 1? wide gilt panel to head
of spine and front board, 8vo (7.5x5?), very good + / very good (shroud and slipcase
no d.j.as issued) , 339pp. + 2pp. of author?s other works and 57pp. catalog Macmillan
books from Feb. 1891.
Book is
encased in a folding protective shroud that is further encased in a very attractive
slip case, both shroud and slip case show light soiling and sun fade on some
edges, book is lightly rubbed at the ubiquitous head and tail of spine along
with the corners which are also bumped, lower front board corner more substantially
so, though hinges and binding are clean and tight the text block itself seems a
little shaken.
