[Fine Bindings] Shakespeare, William, THE NEW CENTURY SHAKESPEARE, Boston: Dana Estes and Company, 1900-01. 24vols, contemporary red morocco on burgundy marbled paper boards w/gilt titling to spine, 8vo (9x6”), t.e.g., Very good+ - fine condition, approx. 8000 pp. cumulative. Some small rubbing at the extremities, vol. 1 only started at top joint, a few tiny dark spots on spines else fine. Limited Edition #179 of 500 copies, of the “Edition de Grande Luxe.”
One for the Shakespeare fans. Absolutely gorgeous, a luxurious and elegant Capture of Tyme and quite the distinctive set of books indeed.
