First U.S. edition, trade issue.
Fine in green boards with a floral illustration in yellow; in a near fine dust jacket with a few stains to the rear panel and minor soiling to the front panel.
The front flap bears the price of $3.50 with the lower flap price-clipped (library price).
A selection of poems chosen by Farjeon especially for young readers.
Edward Thomas was killed in action in 1917 and never saw publication of his poems and Eleanor Farjeon herself died before the publication of this book.
