(Internal #CFA10-1) Excellent, new, hand stained natural pine resin, hand-molded (reproduced from the original shell cameo) of an AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN cameo, IVORY colored with PURPLE background; mounted on repro Victorian BRASS FRAME with black felt backing and floral brass; three brass backings on cameo. Frame is perfect on a desk, credenza or shelf as a display, there is also a ring on the back to hang on a wall. Cameo itself is 1-5/8" long x 1-1/4" wide. FRAME STYLE #10 - Victorian design in solid brass frame, 5-1/4? long x 4-1/4? wide Weight: 3.4 oz. Superb detail down to the texture of her hair, and face! I know because I do half the work in creating the cameos. Comes with information card. The theme of African-American women in cameos is RARE, there is mention of this in the book "Cameos Old New (2nd Edition) by Anna M. Miller, G.G. (I recommend the book for anyone collecting cameos).
