This is a rare AMERICAN HISTORIC SOCIETY POCKET WATCH WITH AGENUINE 1887 MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR AS THE FRONT, The coin has a discoloration that possible came from the previous owner using his thumb to close the case and I believe it could be easily cleaned, but I will let a buyer do that. I replaced the battery and it runs perfectly. The coin looks like it is in Almost Uncirculated condition and since I cannot find a mint mark on the reverse, so I believe it was minted in Philadelphia.
It comes with a wood stand and glass dome which says Made In China on it. I have only seen one other on the many listings and I see very few where it is gold/brass colored. I obtained it at an estate sale and it was not running until I replaced the battery.
It weighs, with the stand, about 12 ounces, but once safely boxed, it will be over a pound.
