Item description
Pauline Lester has a point to make about girls rushing into marriage before having a career. For 1925 that's a big deal, and more importantly it's still a relevant point today. Marjorie's discussion with Hal, who just wants her to stay in Sanford and marry him, encapsulates the discomfort she feels with what she's supposed to want and what she really wants. Her parents are ultimately supportive as is the Muriel subplot about having to make up her mind about what she wants from her future.
