Item description
What a beautiful old F R Harper print from the 30's titled: Memories. It's a wonderfully expressive scene of a woman standing in front of a lover's tree with a gorgeous moon over the lake in the background. Since the title is "Memories", we can assume that it is this beautiful young lady having memories perhaps of the lover who's heart is linked to hers on the tree. The composition as a whole is quite exceptional and emotional in it's depiction of a wonderful era long lost in time.
We've tried to find this Harper painting on the internet but unsuccessfully so far. It seems like the internet is obsessed with his Native American Princess pictures. He actually has quite a volume of other works and this is one of them. His FWH monogram signature is in the lower left of the print and can be seen in our last image.
A quick Harper factoid: All the women in his paintings have the same face.
The frame, being very old, isn't in perfect condition, but yet still quite tight and functional.
