Item description
Brand new factory sealed blu-ray is the movie they don't want you to see as life imitates art.
Black White, full screen presentation is Out Of Print (OOP) in all formats and being suppressed from manufacturing.
Boasting a marvellous climax, courtesy of 'Deluge' (1933) from which it was borrowed, in which New York is engulfed simultaneously by a tidal wave and earthquake, this is an interesting film less for its spectacular effects than for its use of television fake news as a potentially powerful weapon in the hands of the unscrupulous.
That's until stalwart television journalist Jeff Shannon (Ralph Byrd) unmasks a sytem that would place the dishonest and unqualified Farrow into power.
S.O.S. TIDAL WAVE remains true to its crime thriller roots until a very surprising twist. The devious Farrow and Sutter, using stock horror film footage of a tsunami-like tidal wave, try to convince an unsupecting public that the killer wave is about to hit New York, thereby throwing voters into a "COVID-19" panic. Will Jeff be able to convince the public of this hoax in time to save the mayoral election?
Sounds so very familiar doesn't it?
