It allows you to use a household AC device in the car. The wiring harness and the AC outlet itself are not included, but they are available in another listing. The mounting brackets are not included but are available. (You should already have them, since we're selling this for exact replacement...) This has never been in a vehicle. It was removed from an assembly line leftover console. However, it was stored with the black side down and got scratched up as a result. It's not seen after install and has no bearing on functionality, obviously. This listing is for the item pictured only. It will be up to you to install it, and part of that installation may involve sourcing other parts. We may be able to provide other parts, if they are attached to the consoles we had.
