Item description
Vintage novel from Frances Crane, The Cinnamon Murder. Circa 1947, paperback, 214 pages. Mr. John Frederics designed and artist Denver Gillen painted that saucy little cloche hat atop Jean Abbott's head to catch the defiant spirit of a gay young sophisticate. undaunted even by murder. The hat, we're told, is the color of Chianti red wine, and the thingamajig in front is a wired chou. Gillen says he doesn't know whether he's fonder of the hat or the heroine---they're both so charming
