Item description
SPORTS ILLLUSTRATED September 6, 1954 - Fourth weekly issue - no mailing label. Cover photo: Yacht Racing on Long Island Sound. Articles include: "The Kansas Cyclone" about then President Eisenhower's love of sport. "Battle for the Amateur" featuring young "rookie" golfer Arnold Palmer. Phillies pitcher and HOFer Robin Roberts (with color photos), Duke Snider vs. Stan Musial in the race for the batting championship. Popular dogs: The Poodle, Cleveland Indians manager Al Lopez.
This magazine is in good condition. No label. Top right corner of magazine has a small dog ear. Light water stain at the top of some of the center pages. All pages are intact. Staples are tight. Still has business reply card.
Magazine will be shipped via 1st class mail as magazines are not allowed to be sent via media mail. Insurance is extra.
