Striking uncredited jacket art depicts an underground mine scene, a body revealed in flash-light beam, and two fedora-wearing square-jawed men. Set mostly (with a few scenes in Los Angeles) in an out-of-the-way small southern California town where the focal point is an old Mindoro Gold mine containing newly discovered uranium. Sheriff Dem Deakins and F.B.I. agent George Gregory pair up to uncover a fast-moving plot and a murderer. Elusive mystery especially SIGNED!
