Item description
"Annie Get Your Gun" U.S tour program
signed by producer Richard Rodgers
1947/1948
This is a program from the U.S. tour production of "Annie Get Your Gun", starring Mary Martin, that is signed by producer Richard Rodgers (1902-1979) of Rodgers and Hammerstein songwriting fame. This was the widely popular national version that toured the United States from October 1947 through mid-1948, playing in Dallas, Chicago and Los Angeles. It is assumed that this program came from a Los Angeles performance. It is signed on the front in ink.
Condition: very good. Has slight wear and folds to spine area. One small tear at front bottom. Corners have slight folds. 16-page program; red and black on covers, blue inside. Has biographies of Mary Martin, Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein 2nd, and Irving Berlin. Also featurettes on writers Herbert and Dorothy Fields, the real Annie Oakley, and the cast and crew. Lavishly illustrated. Has cardboard backing and is in plastic.
A nice vintage theater collectible. Free shipping in U.S.A.
