good: a bit shaken, wear and abrasion at extremities, scattered soiling,
rear inner hinge just starting, but holding strong, penciled note to
one plate; in black-lettered red cloth shelfback over boards with
paste-on chromolithograph illustration.
German children's tale of the
California Gold Rush; elegant chromolitho plates depict a campfire
scene, a group of Indians, a sea rescue, a mountain repelling, a boy
reading to an ailing parent.
