A bright, fresh, fine copy in blue cloth with gilt devices, rules and lettering; in a printed dust jacket, with a few very small chips, age-darkening to front and spine panels, short creased tear to lower front.
Slender little volume of pithy observations on children, children's literature by the poet and essayist; Meynell, one of the leading literary figures of her time, was converted to Roman Catholicism in 1872 and her faith forms the foundation of her work.
