A very scarce "lost world" novel that describes an island in the far south Atlantic, with a lost, pre-gunpowder empire.
Crusoe Warburton, a young naval officer who accidentally kills his superior officer, is being taken on a warship to prison in England. The ship is wrecked on a reef and Warburton is the only survivor. He later encounters a strange ship with a dethroned queen from a civilization from a much earlier era.
