A hint of age-darkening to the blue cloth binding, a suggestion of offsetting to the endsheets, else a nearly fine copy; in a pictorial dust jacket that is also age-darkened, particularly to spine panel. Jacket design by Richard Cardiff. Historical novel of "a lifetime spent on the sea in the most dazzling years in all the history of navigation and discovery" told in the first person by a seaman under the command of "a brave arrogant, and determined visionary," Christopher Columbus.
