20inch x 30inch Poster Travel Leisure during the Heyday of Commercial Air Travel when Flying was exciting and foreign locations exotic. Travel poster for Germany, the circa 1950s travel poster promoting travel to Germany aboard Americana Airways ("World's Most Experienced Airline"), and featuring art of a medieval castle by E. McKnight Kauffer. American Edward (??Ted??) McKnight Kauffer was one of Europe's most prolific and influential advertising poster artists during the twenties and thirties, and as innovative as his more celebrated French counterpart, A.M. Cassandre. In England, where he lived and worked, Kauffer was hailed for elevating advertising to high art There is a border around the image. The image size is correct.
