I cannot believe how long it has been since we have chatted! February 2014 will be a month that we remember for many years to come. The majority of our team were in Hawaii enjoying Freedom February. Contrary to popular belief, it was not all fun and games. In fact I would be willing to bet that those in Hawaii worked longer hours and pushed more code than they would if they were in Seattle. The only drawback to our team spending most of February on Oahu is that you may see Hawaiian Pidgin used in our content. Be sure to report dat to da support brah.
February produced great sales and the trend is Northbound for March. Why is that? Many reasons. One reason is our new advertising channels we have added for sellers ("Sell on Bonanza > Advertise items"). Sellers can now advertise their items with our award winning ("Awesome Award 2014" by Otto van Polar Bear) Google Shopping feed, TheFind, Nextag, eBay, and Pricegrabber. That's five quality channels for you to market your items, at no risk and no upfront costs from Bonanza. Additionally you are only charged advertising fees when your item sells via that channel. It can't possibly get any better right? Well what if I told you that we are working on adding Bing Shopping into the mix?
Another factor to our sales increase is our new Amazon item importer ("Sell on Bonanza > Import from Amazon"). We also opened up our eBay Importer automatic sync for all sellers. By opening up our eBay importer automatic sync for all sellers, we uncovered an opportunity where we can improve the process for all sellers, which brings me to another task we are working on, making variations awesome.
Variations are colors, sizes, shapes, etc of items. As you can imagine the process of making variations import perfectly is quite daunting and complex. However not having variations import properly makes it difficult for our multi-channel seller community to properly manage their inventory. Improving our variations is a high priority and our goal is to have this completed this month.
We are still in the process of adding the ability to print shipping labels on Bonanza. You would think that something that sounds so simple would be simple to add but there are several processes on the back end that still need to be worked out.
It did not hurt that Bonanza was recognized as the top marketplace for sellers in the Ecommercebytes 2014 survey. So keep up the good work Bonanza sellers! Your awesome customer service and great products are bringing a great number of buyers to Bonanza. Onward and upward!

Awesome!

Big increases in looks since adding venues other than Google :-) (We don’t even use the “E” word at our place). Thanks for that- seller fees have been significantly impacted but averaged out equal about 10% of the sales created. Sure would rather give that to you than to Google Ad-Words or PPC which would cost way more. Thanks for continuing to make things better for sellers. I hope others are discovering this, too :-)
Sounds good, I hope you get Bing soon too, that would be great!!
Just what I’ve been waiting for.
Shipping labels will be great! New here, but love it!
Im really giving bonanza a chance to work ive upgraded to $50 monthly membership increased my advertising. But sales are still slow for me.I guess patience is whats needed.Anyway I’m glad to have an outlet other then eBay to sell. Its a work i progress.Glad to see some improvements being made!!
Curious as to the fees for using Pricegrabber, Nextag etc. Have clicked around but cannot see what the actual percentages are
Each advertising channel has a “Required Commission” tag (economy, basic, standard, premium). Just below the current advertising channels you will see a legend for those tags that include the commission. So in a nutshell the percentages are shown on the advertising page.
Variations for my clothing items and the ability to print labels, these are my top wishes! Can’t wait to use them when they’re rolled out!
I must be doing something wrong. I have Google Shopping feed, TheFind, Nextag, eBay, and Pricegrabber and the maximum percentage. My ad views are pathetic! Can someone offer assistance?

Hard to say as everyones situation is different. We created a page (linked above) that will give you some great advice. That page is updated often and is very helpful.
Amazon is of no use to me. Ebay doesn’t interest me.
Shipping Labels are useless for me. I have yet to see any benefit in the higher subscription because sales are still slow and stagnated at best.
Sorry your sales have not met your expectations. We want you to get lots of sales too because that benefits us as well. Be assured that we are working hard to give you as many options as possible. Thank you for your continued support and please feel free to share specific ideas on how we can make things better. http://feedback.bonanza.com/forums/149038-bonanza-com
Thank you for providing that page. However, that page is not very helpful.
When do you think we will be able to add the variations? I really need this feature. Thanks!
Depending on the category you use, you should already be able to use variations. When you select a relevant category the variation options will appear. The above blog talks about improving the current process with respect to syncing your eBay inventory to Bonanza. That way the imported variations will be in better sync which will minimize your editing.
Sales haven’t met our expectations but we are listing new items every week. Our prices are wholesale but we don’t get anywhere near enough views to make a living here. We are going to stick with it for a few more months and hopefully it picks up. Site is very easy to list items on but we need sales !!!
Awesome I’m very excited about item variations. Any idea when variations will be available?
Thanks bonanzamark, but what I am wanting is the ability to list the item in different sizes or different colors in the same listing (without having to make a seperate listing for each size) and have the buyer be able to choose one when checking out. Will this ever be available?
