NICHOLAS published in 1921. They are bound from Jan. through June and July through December. This delightful American children's magazine started in 1873 and ended in 1940. It contained fiction and non-fiction by many popular writers of the era and was chock-full of charming illustrations and photographs. These 1921 issues are now quite scarce, especially all together in secure cloth covers. The magazines, with individual covers and cover-back ads removed (except for one full-page ad on the reverse of each contents page), are well-preserved and the pages are in very nice shape throughout (not yellowed). The cloth covers have wear on the corners and just modest edge wear. The hinges are fine and the binding secure. A hard-to-find set. See also ST. NICHOLAS MAGAZINE for 1922, 1923 1924 in this booth.
