In 1891 Philipp Rosenthal established a porcelain factory in Asch, Bohemia. The Porzellanfabrik Philipp Rosenthal Co acquired factories in Selb, Marktredwitz, Kronach, Waldenburg, Waldershof and Sophienthal from 1897 to 1936.
After WWII the factories were modernised and lost markets were re-established by Rosenthal's son, Phillip Some of the best artists of those days were attracted to the company like Hans Theo Baumann, Raymond Loewy, Raymond Peynet and Bjorn Wiinblad. It operates to this day.
In the future will be selling pieces from other mid-century modern potteries (such as Bauer, Bennington, Gladding McBean/Franciscan, Glidden, Hyalyn/Raymor, Metlox, Redwing, Salem,Sasha Brastoff, Stetson, Vernon Kilns, W.S. George, Wellsville, Winfield, etc.)
