Founded in 1967 by Nino Cerruti, the eponymous line is the proud parent of a trio of brands: Cerruti 1881, 18CRR81 and Cerruti. Although the Cerruti family had long been involved in the clothing world (Nino's grandfather founded a textile mill in--surprise!--1881), Nino was the first in his family to capitalize on their excellent woolens. After an audacious start with the line "Hitman," Cerruti was destined for big thing, eventually designing fashions for top stars, and famously collaborating on the films Bonnie and Clyde, Pretty Woman, and Basic Instinct.
