With its origins in the crazy, mixed-up fashion world of 60s Italy, Benetton brought brightly colored Cosby sweaters to 1980s youth. The brand is perhaps better known for its controversial Colors magazine and ad campaigns by Tibor Kalman. The label continues to push buttons with anti-hate advertising, and occasionally the oddly-hued sweater.
