"VIET NAM ? LONG BINH ? 65?66"
Features a colorful 5th Infantry Division (U.S. Army) crest enamel badge.
? Reverse engraving:
"THE MORE DAYS YOU'VE BEEN IN THE ARMY ? THE MORE HELL YOU'VE GOTTEN"
Classic example of Vietnam War "trench art" or soldier-personalized mottoes.
? Bottom stamp:
Original Zippo base with clear logo. Appears period correct for mid-1960s production.
---
? Condition:
Brass case with authentic patina and wear consistent with field use.
Lid opens and closes properly; hinge is solid.
Insert not shown ? assumed missing or not included (specify if available).
? Historical Note:
Long Binh was one of the largest U.S. Army bases in Vietnam. Lighters like this were often customized or engraved by soldiers and became personal mementos of service.
