Vtg 1950s-60s Hawaiian Casuals Dress belt & and 44 similar items

Gorgeous vintage traditional style Hawaiian set including dress, jacket and generous length belt. Made by Hawaiian Casuals for Stan Hicks, Marked Made in Honolulu. Label dates to late 1950's/early 1960's. I purchased this dress and jacket vintage 25 years ago for a trip to Hawaii. I never had an occasion to wear it there and it has been stored ever since. I did try on the jacket and planned to wear it with a black dress, but didn't go to any dressy events. The jacket is wonderfully adaptable and can be worn with this dress or paired with lots of other clothing. It has side slits which make it easy to fit. The buttons are the little knotted ball Asian type, and I doubt you would ever button it, but it is hard to button. They are more decoration than utility. Jacket has a nice touch - slanted pockets on the front. They kind of disappear into the dress so you don't notice them, but it's a nice touch to have a little pocket on each side. The dress is lovely, short sleeves and has a long belt that you can add or not. It doesn't have belt loops - it just ties. The dress has a metal talon zipper that works well. I love this set and hate to part with it, but if I haven't worn it in 25 years, I am probably not going to! I would rather it be worn than be in my vintage collection! Both the dress and the jacket have the same Hawaaian tag. The size tag has been removed and you can just see a remnant of it. This is only a guess, so check these measurements because we don't accept returns. But I am estimating a size 6-8 modern size. PLEASE CHECK MEASUREMENTS and ASK ANY QUESTIONS. Jacket measurements: Top of shoulder to sleeve is approx 16 3/4 inches. It is a 3/4 type sleeve. Underarm to underarm with it buttoned is approx 21" and sleeve opening is approx 7 inches. Length from collar to hem is approx 26 inches. Dress measurements: Underarm to underarm is approx 21 inches. Sleeve opening is approx 6 1/2 inches. Measured across where darts are is approx 20". Across where waist is (based on where my waist is) is approx 19 3/4, hip area at widest part is approx 21 inches. Measured down the back from the neck where zipper is, approx 41 inches. I am 5' 2" and it hits me mid-calf, maybe a little longer for me than most mid-length dresses. It is a very elegant length. Belt measures approx 68 inches long.
