ROYAL COPENHAGEN Figurine #22607 White Stag Laying Down Royal Copenhagen Figurine 22607 featuring a white stag laying down, head up and alert. The body is all white with tan accents on the horns and hooves and black lines defining the eyes, nose and mouth. Pictured on page 218 of the Popes’ book on Royal Copenhagen Figurines (2003) but no additional information provided – no sculptor, dimensions, production dates or valuation. Designed by Karl Larsen. Date code (line over the “R” and “O” in ROYAL) shows that this figurine was produced between 1985 and 1989. Figurines in the 22000 series were originally produced in stoneware in the 1960s through 1980s. In a few cases, the molds were later used to produce porcelain figurines like this one. These porcelain adaptations of stoneware figurines were in production for a very short time, and very few were produced. Seldom seen on the secondary market. No others currently listed for sale. This figurine bears the standard Royal Copenhagen marks, including the three wavy blue line trademark of Royal Copenhagen, the figurine number 22607, and the country of origin (Denmark). Nicely detailed in the venerable Royal Copenhagen tradition. Approximately 5-inch (13cm) wide and 5.5-inch (14cm) high.
