It is a very thick solid piece with a concave groove in the middle for the votive or candle to rest. It is a cube shape with rounded corners and flat clear smooth bottom. The sides are flat. The shape is that of a dice piece.

I love how the different colors are perfectly layered on the inside. Beings this item has been used you might see some minor surface scratches. There are no other issues like chipping, flea bites, or pitting.
