This cute floral box would remind anyone of a box of dusting powder but when it was purchased it contained potpourri from avon.  The vintage was 1983.  I have used the container for years for safety pins.  It is made of a paper product, but it is very sturdy and the lid fits snugly.  It is oval and about 5 inches long, 3 1/2 inches across and slightly over 2 1/2 inches tall.  It has been in a smoke free home.  There is a speck on the top that is either a scratch or dot of something.
