Comments: This photo originally came in a Wright / Weeks / Onderdonk family collection of images (sold individually) which included: Edgar Wright, Lydia Mott Weeks Wright, Mary Eugene Wright Onderdonk, Marguerite Matie Onderdonk, May Florence Onderdonk, Sanford Weeks, and Henry Weeks. We have assembled the following abbreviated genealogy from on-line research: Edgar Wright was born August 26, 1824 in Long Island, New York. He was the son of Barnabas Wright and Hannah Weeks. Edgar married Lydia Mott Weeks in January, 1846. She was born February 6, 1822 in Mt. Kisco, New York, the daughter of Thorn Weeks and Mary Hoag. (While we have not been able to establish a positive connection, there is little question she was named in honor of the famous Quaker Abolitionist and Women's Rights advocate Abigail Lydia Mott Moore.) Lydia died January 18, 1905 at the home of her sister in Oberlin, Ohio. Edgar died November 9, 1894. Edgar and Lydia were faithful members of the Society of Friends (Quakers) and of the New York Monthly Meeting. Edgar and his wife Lydia were the parents of Charles Edgar Wright, George Henry Wright, Thomas Willard Wright, and Mary Eugene Wright. Mary Eugene Wright was born January 1, 1856 in Long Island, New York. She was the wife of J. Will Onderdonk. Their children included May Florence Onderdonk who was born June 16, 1882; and Marguerite Matie Onderdonk, born September 16, 1898. Mary died May 21, 1923.
