This lovely old brooch is either an early molded plastic or celluloid and has a horse head at one end with a whip or riding crop behind it. The details on this pin are quite amazing, the horse’s mane, its teeth and the crisscross features of the whip braid are shown. The colors are great, almost a light purple, mauve or pinkish brown with a mottled look and mixed in shades of brown for the horse’s head and a dark brown crop. The horse head is stacked on the whip. The pin is a simple “C” clasp glued to the back. It measures approximately 3 inches long and just over 1 inch tall at the widest point.

This brooch is in wonderful vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There are no chips, cracks or breaks. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.
