The days of really well made tools has passed us by, but still available.  Back in the day when things were practical, and very useful, made to withstand time and all that, today is hard to find.  Well your in luck, because this guy will do the trick. No need to have someone else hold the other end because it is flopping down, this guy will hold it's own. This one is standard units, showing inches to 1/16th.   Is in great shape for age, and shows typical wear from usage.  Still very easy to read, slider works great too.  PLUS + also included is a vintage metric wood folding rule.  This one is used alot more, so some markings are worn off.  Is 2 meters long and shows down to the milimeters I believe (200).
