Not only was my Dad a huge movie fan whose sole hobby was to watch films, but he also loved to read about films in the many film books he collected over the years. His collected these books over a span of 40 years and numbered a little over 100 books.
Many of them are in "Like New" condition, as once he read he book, he placed it on the shelf and rarely referenced it again. However, as it has been almost a decade since any of these volumes have been touched, they have been subject to dust and indirect sunlight and as a result, many of the dusk jacket spines have faded from their original colors. This is not really evident, until the book is pulled away from its place and the rest of the dust jacket is revealed. Luckily, as they did have the dust jackets on them, the original hardcovers are in excellent condition.
Though I'd like to get fair market value from these books, I realize that the market for printed materials is not what it once was. Bear in mind, that many of these books were created as coffee table books and are quite large and heavy. Though shipping is FREE for the buyer, I will have to take into account the weight of the book when pricing it with shipping costs in mind, but still competitive. As with all of my Dad's items, (16mm Film, Betamax Tapes, VHS tapes, etc) my real goal is to ensure that his collection goes into the hands of fellow collectors, who can really appreciate the last generation's treasures.
THE SPECIFICS FOR THIS BOOK ARE: This book is in pretty good shape except for the top compressed pages of the book where dust has gathered and settled into the fibres of the pages. This book is approximately 9x11 inches and is about 3lbs. This book is a paperback, not a hardcover.
In an effort to allay any future claims of "item not as described", I will list these books as in "Good" condition. You can be the judge, as I've photographed the front and back covers and in some cases, the spine and interior pages of the book. Please examine the photos carefully as what you see is what you'll get.
Of course, shipping within the continental US is free, via Media mail or First Class postage, whichever is cheaper. I do have a one day handling policy, but I do work, so I try to get it to the post office within 24 hours of payment, (except weekends and holidays). Tracking information will be sent to you via email when the mailing label is generated. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
