- The Van Nuys Hotel was Los Angeles's premier hotel around the turn of the last century, opening it's door around 1897. It was the finest hotel in Los Angeles at the turn of the century and the first in the city to have telephones and electricity in every room. The Van Nuys was designed by the architecture firm of Morgan and Walls and had a 160 rooms. Many famous people were guests at the hotel, including President William McKinley and Henry Huntington. It is still in operation today as the less glamorous Barclay Hotel.

- Pre-owned, pretty good condition, silverplating is dark and some small dents and signs of hotel use, still this is the only example we can find of this rare advertising teapot that also has the hotel branding
