Khatam Chess Backgammon Board Fold Out Hand Painted Persian Turkish Marquetry

 

Has some wear on the outer corners of the box. Hinges and clasp work as they should and clasp is good and tight to keep playing pieces safely inside when closed. Parts of the design are raised and lots of Khatam, micro inlaid marquetry. Beautifully hand painted on the sides of the board on the outside. Inside is not painted or decorated. Box measures 14" x 7" when closed and 14" x 13.75" when open. Included are a set of wooden backgammon pieces and a set of heavy, weighted chess pieces, rough cast, both in fabric bags for storage.
